VAMAKSHA

Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information Vamaksha collects when you order an astrology report or browse this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.

Last updated: 1 April 2026  ·  Effective from: 1 April 2026

Who we are

Vamaksha is a business based in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Vamaksha, and "you" means anyone who visits our website or buys a report from us.

We sell personalised Vedic astrology reports and related digital products, delivered as PDF documents by email and WhatsApp. Because these reports are generated from your birth details, handling that information carefully is central to what we do.

This policy covers vamaksha.com and every page under it, along with the order forms, emails and WhatsApp messages we use to deliver your report.

Information we collect

What you give us when you order

To calculate a horoscope we need details that are, by their nature, personal. We ask only for what the calculation actually requires:

  • Your full name, and the name you want printed on the report
  • Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth
  • Gender, where the report format requires it
  • Email address and mobile or WhatsApp number, so we can deliver the report
  • Any question or concern you write into the order form
  • Postal address, only if you order a printed copy

If you order a report for someone else, you confirm that you have their permission to share their birth details with us.

What we collect automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type and operating system
  • Pages you viewed, how you reached us, and how long you stayed
  • Cookie identifiers set by us and by the services listed in section 8

What we do not collect

We never ask for your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking password or Aadhaar. Anyone requesting these in our name is not us — please report it to the address in section 17.

Why we use it

Preparing your report
Birth details are used to generate your chart and written analysis. This is the only reason we ask for them.
Delivering it
Your email and phone number are used to send the PDF, delivery updates, and download links.
Support
To answer your questions, resend a lost file, or correct an error in a report.
Payments and records
To process your order and keep the invoices and tax records Indian law requires us to keep.
Improving the site
Aggregated usage data tells us which pages confuse people and which reports are most wanted.
Marketing
To show you our ads on other platforms and, if you have opted in, to email you about new reports and offers. You can opt out at any time.
Fraud and abuse
To detect fraudulent orders, chargeback abuse and misuse of our website.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your birth details with advertisers, data brokers or other astrologers.

Your consent

We process your information on the basis of the consent you give when you fill in an order form or subscribe to our emails, and where we need it to fulfil the order you placed or to meet a legal obligation such as tax record-keeping.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us at the address in section 17. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it, and if you withdraw it before we have delivered a report, we may not be able to complete the order.

Google account data

We use Google services, including Google Drive and Google Sheets, to generate and store the report files we deliver to you. Where our systems connect to a Google account, that account belongs to Vamaksha and is authorised by us — we do not ask customers to sign in with Google, and we do not read customers' Google accounts.

Vamaksha's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google user data to train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to deliver your report, for security purposes, or where the law requires it.

Who else sees your data

We share information only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only to the extent each one needs. Every one of them is bound to keep it confidential.

Payment gateway
Handles your payment. Receives your name, email, phone and amount. Card and UPI details go directly to them and never reach us.
Checkout platform
Hosts the order form and receives the details you enter there.
Hosting provider
Stores the website and our automation systems on its servers. See section 13 on where data is processed.
Email and WhatsApp services
Deliver your report and our messages. Receive your name, email and phone number.
Astrological calculation service
Receives date, time and place of birth to compute the chart. It does not receive your name, email or phone number.
Cloud storage
Stores the generated report file and the download link we send you.
Analytics and advertising
Receive website usage data and cookie identifiers, not your birth details.

We may also disclose information where a court, tax authority or law enforcement agency lawfully requires it, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim. If our business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who will remain bound by this policy.

Payments

Payments are processed by an RBI-authorised payment gateway on its own secure, PCI-DSS compliant systems. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials. What we do keep is a record of the transaction: the amount, date, order reference and payment status, which we need for accounting and for handling refunds.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them for three things:

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working — remembering your cart, keeping you logged in during checkout, and blocking abuse. The site cannot function without these.
  • Analytics cookies tell us how many people visited a page and where they came from, in aggregate.
  • Advertising cookies, including the Meta Pixel and Google tags, let us show our ads to people who have visited us and measure whether those ads worked.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings and your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. Blocking necessary cookies may break checkout.

We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no agreed standard for how to interpret them.

How long we keep it

Birth details
Kept while your order is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can resend your report if you lose it. Deleted on request.
Generated reports
Stored so your download link keeps working. Deleted on request.
Invoices and tax records
Kept as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, which is generally eight years. We cannot delete these on request.
Marketing contacts
Kept until you unsubscribe, then removed from our sending lists.
Website analytics
Retained in aggregated form according to each provider's own retention settings.

How we protect it

We use HTTPS encryption across the site, restrict access to customer records to the people who need it, protect our accounts with strong authentication, and work only with established service providers who maintain their own security standards.

No system connected to the internet is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute safety. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete details corrected or updated
  • Have your data erased, where we are not required by law to keep it
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated
  • Raise a grievance with us, and escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied

To exercise any of these, email us at the address in section 17 from the email address you used to place your order. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask a question or two to confirm it is really you before we act on a deletion request.

If you are in the UK or the European Union, you also have rights of access, portability and objection under the GDPR, which you can exercise the same way.

Children

Our services are meant for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a report is ordered for a child, we expect the order to be placed by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the details submitted. If you believe we hold a child's data collected without proper consent, write to us and we will delete it.

Data outside India

Some of the services we rely on — cloud storage, email delivery, analytics and advertising — operate servers outside India. Your information may therefore be processed in other countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure those providers apply protections comparable to those described here, and we transfer data only to countries not restricted by the Government of India.

Other websites

Our pages sometimes link out to other websites, and our ads appear on platforms we do not control. This policy applies only to Vamaksha. Once you follow a link elsewhere, that site's own privacy policy governs what happens to your information.

Nature of our reports

Our reports are prepared for guidance and personal reflection. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and they should not be used in place of a qualified professional. Decisions you take after reading a report are your own.

We mention this in a privacy policy because it shapes how we treat your data: we do not classify your birth details as health information, and we do not use them to draw conclusions about your health, finances or beliefs beyond the astrological analysis you asked for.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when our services or our providers change. The revised version takes effect the day we post it, and the date at the top of the page always shows when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

Contact and grievances

For any question about this policy, or to exercise the rights in section 11, write to us. We read every message.
